Great location-right in walkable downtown Suttons Bay and a quick trip down to Traverse City or up the Leelanau Peninsula to Northport via my all-time favorite scenic highway--M-22. You can walk through Suttons Bay to shop or stop to catch a bite to eat, and a nice municipal park and marina, which has some playground equipment and a nice beach, is only a quick block walk from the B&B. The neighborhoods up behind the B&B are also nice for a quick morning or evening walk. We stayed in the Paris room, which was a spacious and comfortable room with a Parisian decor theme. I especially appreciated having a small fridge in the room, which is something you don't see in many B&Bs. This meant I could keep a ready supply of the ice tea I drink 24/7/365 on hand! Other amenities included WiFi included in the room cost as well as cushy bath robes and a wonderful full breakfast. We loved seeing what Jim would cook up each morning (stuffed French toast, egg souffle, pancakes?) and starting off the meal with Linda's great house-made granola and fresh fruit. Jim and Linda were great hosts...and we loved the company of their sweet and well-behaved dog, Nestle Quik. We stayed here over multiple week days in the late fall, which is definitely an optimal time if you're looking for a quiet retreat with lovely weather. Staying in the high summer season and during other prime weekends throughout the year (think fall leaf peeping times) will require more advance planning as the Korner Kottage's four rooms full up quickly then, and there will be a lot more tourist traffic through town along M-22.

As good as it gets is right. My husband and I recently stayed here for a few days after we got married as a "mini-moon". It was the perfect way to relax after the craziness of the wedding. Our room was cozy and clean. Jim and Linda are very accommodating hosts and provide very tasty, and filling, breakfasts in their garden (weather permitting). I will be recommending the Korner Kottage to friends and family.

Wow, this is definitely the B&B to stay at when you are in Suttons Bay. My wife and I booked the Paris room for the Taste of Passion wine tour and we couldn't ask for better accommodations. The room was decorated in a tastefully romantic style with lots of keepsakes our hosts Jim and Linda acquired in Paris. The bed was as comfortable as it gets. Our room looked out over the bay and even though the temp outside never made it over 17 all weekend, we were toasty warm at the cottage. The meals were all first rate as Jim prides himself as a master chef. Both Jim and Linda were the perfect hosts. Just can't say enough good things about our stay. Book it... You won't be disappointed.

We spent two evenings at the Korner Kottage, centrally located in downtown Suttons Bay. To start with, the hospitality is excellent. You couldn't find two better hosts than Jim and Linda. But what about breakfast, you ask? That's great too. Our first morning was Almond Ciabatta French Toast with Michigan maple syrup and locally produced breakfast sausage. The next morning was this soufflé sort of dish with hash browns, mushrooms, and eggs served in a small bowl, with bacon on the side. Locally baked multi-grain bread was served with fresh Michigan preserves. Every day, there's a fresh fruit cup with berry yogurt and their delicious Korner Kottage Krunch (see KK website for details). Basic idea though, this is the best granola I've ever had. Otherwise, our room (Paris) was comfy and clean. The screened in front porch is nice for winding down with a good book. The location is perfect for walking around downtown, and is across the street from the beach. A quick drive takes you to wineries slightly North, to Old Mission Peninsula, and to downtown Traverse City. Free wi-fi too. Yelper alert--while sitting inside Korner Kottage, my iPhone yelp app said I couldn't check in because I was 2.2 miles away. Not sure if this is due to AT&T coverage, or the app.

We loved our stay here! The bed in our room was so comfortable and cozy, I didn't want to get up for breakfast, but thank goodness I did because it was delicious! Jim made a baked apple pancake. It was so good, I had to ask for the recipe, which Jim generously shared with me. The only recipe they won't give is for their special granola, which they serve at breakfast with fresh fruit and yogurt. Linda leaves lemon chocolate chip cookies out for guests to enjoy any time, and they're awesome! I could have sat at the table and eaten the whole plate. Jim and Linda were wonderful hosts. They were ready with recommendations for places to eat and wineries to visit. Don't even think twice about staying here - just book your room, and enjoy your stay!

You will not find more gracious or accomodating hosts! The accomodations are perfect in this quaint 1920's home in downtown Suttons Bay. Walking distance of the beach, shops, wonderful restaurants, bicycle/xc ski trail -- and a short drive to the sunset in Leland.

I recently had the pure pleasure of spending a couple of nights at the Korner Kottage, which is located on Suttons Bay's main street, just steps from the several block long stretch of shops and restaurants. Linda and Jim are wonderful hosts. The B&B is very clean, the breakfasts are huge and incredibly tasty, there's plenty of space to hang out, and they've provided tons of info about local sights and attractions. I liked the fact that the decor was not over-the-top kitschy/Victorian/what-have-you. My room and bathroom were pretty simple, but very comfortable and definitely clean. I did enjoy having a TV and a fridge (with plenty of cold crisp water provided by the hosts) in my room. Overall, staying here was a relaxing experience, and I plan to be back.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Korner Kottage for a weekend getaway and it was wonderful. It was our first bed and breakfast experience, so we didn't know what to expect. The owners, Jim and Linda let you have your privacy, but they are always available if you have any questions. We stayed in a downstairs room and although it was a bit small, it was clean and comfortable and smelled nice. The room we were in had a separate bathroom that was down the hall, but it wasn't a problem at all. The bathroom was very spacious and the water pressure was great. They are right downtown, but noise isn't a problem. Breakfast is served every morning at 9 a.m. and Jim is a wonderful chef. They will cater to your preferences as well. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 as well as a living room, dining room, and screened-in porch to relax. We didn't get to see the garden, but heard it was beautiful. They also have brochures/books/magazines all over the home if you want to take some sightseeing/daytrips. They also have a binder full of restaurant menus which was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. I am a germaphobe, but felt completely at ease at the Korner Kottage because of how clean it seemed to me. They also have the softest 700 thread count sheets and down pillows. I always bring my own pillow and pillowcases when traveling, but didn't even use them on this trip. The only thing I would recommend you bring is hair conditioner and lotion because the water dries out your hair/skin.
